I hadn't realized that having teens accelerates the speed of time! I can't believe I have kids (3!) who are teens, and that the rest are getting taller. My weeks fly by compared to when I had 4 kids, 4 & under, and I looked forward all day to Daddy getting home. That was busy, but this is time acceleration. I blink and it is Monday; I blink again and it is Friday. At least winter seems short! I love every moment (hmmm.... that's not quite true....); but I do enjoy these years and get sad to think next year no diapers (hmmm...that's not quite true either...). But there will be 4 teens (fun!), and tons of new opportunities to watch them grow into the adults God wants them to be.
Last week, Deer & her friend worked on the bottles for the penny drive they are going to have at Awana. A missionary family is taking care of 3 year old, Joel. He is autistic and quite a handful, but they are working to help recover his body from the malnutrition and harsh treatment he's had. The penny drive will help with funds for a highchair and crib. They hand out the bottles this next week. Go Girls!!

All the rain in February melted the snow on the pond. It refroze into a beautiful ice-skating rink!! Needless to say, we are enjoying skating! Here are a few pictures of one day:

Dot the Olympian :-)

Dessert is working on going backwards.

Darling and Rosie truck around.

This is what happens when goofy girls get together and decide to help Darling dress up.

She loved the attention and showing off. Who says the youngest get the scraps of attention?! She is showered with love and attention at every corner. She may not get her baby book filled, but she is sure enjoyed!!

Darling sure will have some cute pictures in her baby book/scrapbook when you get a chance to do it! :)
LOL Sam doesn't have a single thing written in his baby book! Not even his name! But he gets tons of attention, too.
I agree, time is just flying by, and I thought it was when the older ones were little, but I had not idea how slow it really was going back then, lol.
What a fun post! It is great to hear what's new with you and your family! Fun to have an ice skating pond! I hope to skate next winter.
I love the pictures of Darling and her dress up. Maddie loves to dress up, too...and totally play up the part. True how those baby books go unmarked for the younger ones.
I can relate to longing for daddy to get home! I have 3 ages 3 and under, and I DO long for Dad to get home! :)
I so understand what you mean about time flying by with teens. It truly is amazing.
I loved the ice skating pics. Way fun!
