Fall Promises

The weather is a little nippier in the mornings lately. Several grabbed sweatshirts on the way out the door for church this morning. I'm looking forward to fall and the cooler days. I am not eager to rush it, as I love the weather right now, but I also look forward to the fall.
September is a busy month for us. We have two birthdays in the family, one anniversary, and the start of school and school year activities.
This year, Jeffrey and Anna are in Cross County and Josiah is in Soccer. It's been a bit hectic to go through the prep, and figure out their schedules, but otherwise it has been worth the work.
School for my 3 high-schoolers is starting late - September 19th. The government shut down this summer helped slow the construction down. They will be skipping some extra days, and ending a week later than usual next summer.
I plan to start with Ryan, Mark, and Emily after Labor Day. Their school books are ordered, and I'm looking so forward to working with them this year.
This fall is our 20th Anniversary! Wow! Can't believe that many years has flown by. We hope to get away for the weekend. :) We'll see what happens.
My little Dolly Girl is playing with her dolls. She's wearing her sweet pink dress, hand-crocheted lace socks, and hot pink shoes. So cute!!
The other night, she was up the hill to spend the night with Papa & Gma Wieters. After Papa spent quit a bit of time telling her stories in bed, she interrupted him, "Papa, could you stop talking? I want to go to sleep." :)
Within the last month, she's also asked Daddy to turn out the light. Daddy was using the lamp to read to himself. She has also snuggled between the two of us, and after a little bit, we were interrupted with, "Could you guys stop talking? I need to go to sleep!"
I recently moved her little bed next to Mark's and Ryan's bunk beds. They tell her stories or listen to stories with her. She has slept well there. We moved her dollhouse into her little room and she enjoys playing with it there.
