Dot's Haircut, School Starts

Dot got her hair cut! She had it cut in a page-boy style but wears it either curled under or flipped out as the mood may be. :-) It looks adorable. She is pleased with the results although at times it has gotten hot on the neck and she wishes she could put it all up. She also needed new glasses and she updated her look. She is starting to look preppy - like a teenager. Yikes! :-) When did my daughter develop such a liking for orange and green, along with pink and purple? It has been so fun to watch her develop her own style with her hair and room. Her 13th birthday is coming up!...

We started school!! Well, we are easing our way into the schedule. We started on Thursday with just Math and English. It is nice to get a few days under our belt so we can take a little extra time off at Christmas. Mom needs it! :-) Next week we will add to the academics till we are up till full speed after Labor day. (I hope) :-) I am excited about our new history program but am a little worried about getting all our books from the library on time. It should work fine, just normal jitters when starting something new. I like to stick to the schedule before getting flexible. Well, let the adventure begin!......
